Saying that he and those involved in the production of his show "screwed up," Sean Hannity claims the "mistake" was inadvertent.
Smugly, he also thanked Jon and his writers for watching.
I, for one, have had enough of Fox's "mistakes" and insincere apologies. So I took the advice of an anonymous commenter on the SFGate web site and filed a complaint, following some very easy instructions.
For more info on the lies put forth by Hannity for the benefit of Rep. Michelle Nutcase Bachman, and how to complain to the FCC, follow this link:
Good seed!
Yeah, sorry we got caught lying AGAIN.
Any apologies from Sean 'the Clown' Hannity is as genuine as a three dollar bill.
John Stewart comes through again. Unfreakin' believable. Good seed.
Saying that he and those involved in the production of his show "screwed up," Sean Hannity claims the "mistake" was inadvertent.
Yeah....sure it was a mistake. Just like all the other ones that continually happen. Like saying there are as many as 40,000 protestors when every other source reports 10,000...or reporting people as democrats when they are republicans, and so on.
Inadvertent my @$$!!!!!!!!
I was watching Jon Stewart around 8 pm last night and thought about seeding this myself... glad it is here.
This morning I wake up and hear Hannity call it an accident...
Anyone really buy that??????
How do you accidentally blend 2 tappings?
Do you use the end of Teabagger Party Tape 1 to tape Teabagger Party Tape 2????
Oh wait.. that would mean you would have to run the tape backwards... that won't work...
I am sure there is a reasonable explanation for how this "accident happened".
So why is it when ordinary citizens, the parents of the "balloon boy hoax" make a mistake to "inadvertently" persuade an audience of their false story, then get charged with fraud, and Hannity's show does not? Sounds like a double standard to me.
More of the calculated plan of obstruction called dis-information.
Well you see... the courts gave FOX a pass on lying to the public.
I hope all news writers are collecting this data....? I'm sure that you are. LMAO
Hey, this sort of thing could happen to anyone. Anyone who accidentally edited together clips from one file when meaning to mix another... And who didn't watch the tape afterwards... Or have an intern or other colleague watch it before the show starts...And who didn't watch it while it was on air and realize the difference while it was playing... So you see, its just an honest mistake. :P
Basicly, either it was a bold faced lie which he knew about or it shows that Fox's quality assurance is slightly below that of your average drug dealer... Or both!
Hannity Apologizes for "Mistake" - Admits Jon Stewart/Daily Show Was Right
Sadly, the act of apologizing itself is beyond the ability most conservatives these days, so I'm trying to view this optimistically...
Yeah, the Hannity show screwed up real big.
It's almost as big as that time CBS news along with noted "journalist" Dan Rather used forged documents in an attempt to swing the United States Presidential Election. I remember how those same people who hate Hannity were up in arms and sending complaints to the FCC back then. Good times.
It looks like it's virtually impossible to insult the intelligence of Fox News viewers.
intelligence
Fox News viewers
Pure definition of oxymoron.
you know, I never see other news agencies commenting when they make mistakes. inadvertent or otherwise... does that mean they never make mistakes? of course not. human beings all make mistakes, and any organization run by human beings will invariably make mistakes.
mistakes. inadvertent or otherwise...
Inadvertent is a mistake. Otherwise (meaning deliberate) is not a mistake. It's called a lie.
I never see other news agencies commenting when they make mistakes
I have seen several other news agencies comment when something they said was in error.
does that mean they never make mistakes? of course not. human beings all make mistakes, and any organization run by human beings will invariably make mistakes
If they are good at it and check their facts and sources prior to putting out the information , they do make virtually no mistakes and don't require to post corrections. Checking, double checking by other people - different sets of eyes. Even though humans are capable of errors (Fox happens to be quite proficient at it.) there are processes you can put in place to mitigate errors and almost completely eliminate them.
Unfortunately in today's "bottom line means more than anything" world of business, doing the things that need to be done to make sure mistakes are caught prior to publication or broadcast are deemed to be expendable and have been axed. The irony of it is that the core value of the news reporting agencies is their accuracy and integrity. Once that is compromised, the rest is bull@!$%#. Fox has always played with news rather than be good at it. Lot so surface stuff with no depth. Might as well have Sarah Palin blathering on about non-sensical raccoon @!$%#. Just as much value. Scratch that - just as less value.
Dave,
exactly. I never see other news agencies apologizing when they make mistakes or lie. :) and be sure, they do.
Except for MSNBC, all of the main stream media defended Fox News against the big ole mean White House. But this is the EXACT kind of nonsense the Adminstration was speaking out against.
After further reflection, I think this article should be re-titled to:
"Sean Hannity's Parents Apologize for Their Mistake of not Practicing Birth Control prior to Sean's Mistaken Conception."
or
"Sean Hannity's Birth Doctor Apologizes for Dropping Sean on His Head Repeatedly After His Birth."
Excellent Seed, Ellen
Bravo!!
1. I'll take Hannity's track record over Stewart's any time!!
2. The mainstream media defended Fox?!! Yeah, right.
3. Check out Hannity's ratings against all others'....not even close!
pure jealousy tejano.
Tejano, you're correct. Hannity's record for lying is 100% better than Stewarts.
I didn't realize that ratings were used for tracking liars. Your right again, Stewart is not even close to Hannity.
3. Check out Hannity's ratings against all others'....not even close!
HIs "high" ratings only point out there are more idiots out there who are clueless and @!$%#ing stupid. If you want to talk ratings, Hell Square Pants SpongeBob has higher ratings that Hannity so suck on that.
High ratings <> quality nor anything else of value.
Check out Hannity's ratings against all others'....not even close!
So you're saying that most Americans are stupid. Too close to the truth...
If you take the time to watch say, fox one night - and then go back to msnbc-and alternate them for at least a couple of weeks-even the least critcally minded person will realize that these networks are pandering to-and creating their own little cults of personality. If you really want to know whats going on in the world, you gotta go and find it yourself. If you enjoy flogging the bs with the talking heads-whomever they may be-watch the silly cable network news. If people really paid attention to real issues, we would not be electing people from either party-which together form a syndicate. Henceforth-if you are a dem or a pub-you are part of the syndicate. Both parties love to give money to the banks. Neither party cares about the poor or middle class-or anyone but themselves. Each party has it's own major news station and several radio shows to keep you right in line. If you are the type of person that buys into any broadcast media, any politician--well you are a sucker! It is ok-we are all suckers from time to time-but live and learn. Switch your mind back on and use it. Seek out your information-don't let fox or msnbc or cnn or any other media outlet program you. Search youtube for things like dollar collapse, fema coffins, and look over eye witness testimony and footage of nine eleven-and be objective. You might just start to see other view taking shape-it does not mean that you should accept it-but what if....
This morning I wake up and hear Hannity call it an accident...
Anyone really buy that??????
Not here. Not for one frakking second.
How do you accidentally blend 2 tappings?
The same way you "don't notice" a girl doesn't have any underwear under her skirt when she collapses on one of your sister network's reality shows, despite however many passes through an editing room.
The same way you "accidentally" use a still from a competing network's footage of an event in a full-page newspaper ad claiming they didn't cover that event.
Remeber, Hannity isn't journalist. Like Beck, he's a commentator. The apology and the claims that it was an accident don't have to be factual.
1. I'll take Hannity's track record over Stewart's any time!!
so, when specifically did Stewart lie?
Jon Stewart is an admitted comedian. Sean Hannity is an unintentional one. Therein lies the difference.
i wonder if he'll have bachman on his show so she can admit her mistaken crowd estimates based on "real" footage of her rally!!
ps. im not holding my breath!! lol :-)
ps. im not holding my breath!! lol :-)
Yeah we sure don't want you to die!
i wonder if he'll have bachman on his show so she can admit her mistaken crowd estimates based on "real" footage of her rally!!
Actually, since it was Ms. Bachmann's press conference - oh, silly me - I mean her RALLY, if she was paying attention shouldn't she have noticed it was the wrong crowd and pointed it out to Honest Abe Hannity (HAH for short)? Why didn't she point out the error?
Why didn't she point out the error?
because they were in cahoots!!! lmao i smell shenanigans!!!
I'd like them to explain how they "mistakenly" went into the archives and pulled OLDER footage. LMAO.
Either way, liars or unprofessional newsmen; Fox is doing a great job proving Obama right these days. For the sake of all conservatives, they should just shut down now.
That would require even a minor level of common sense, which they've already ably demonstrated they're entirely lacking. Watching them fall apart at the seams ought to be entertaining as hell, even if some of those Tea Party crazies make me genuinely nervous--I'm thinking it's only a matter of time before some whackjob shoots somebody, or bombs something, or some equally lunatic stupidity. It seems to be what people like Bachman are trying to accomplish.
HAH!!!!!!!!!
***BUSTED... by John Stewart, no less***
That's ***EMBARRASSING***!!!!!!!!
That Sean... ever notice how he constantly looks like he's wearing more makeup than even the women who appear on his show???
He... feels... prrrretty... oh so prrretty... oh so prrrretty and witty and wise!!!!!!
He's so charming,
Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming he feels!
And so pretty
he can hardly believe he is real.
The irony is that Stewart's faux news show -- which airs on Comedy Central -- is far more factually accurate than anything being broadcast on FOX News.
The headline should read
Comedy Central corrects FOX news
Is it any wonder that most younger folks get their news from Jon.
If you want news on FOX watch The Simpsons it is more accurate than Hannity.
Comedy Central corrects FOX news
That would be a running segment... not a one time only news.
Maybe an entire show????????????????
They could probably run an entirely separate show only dedicated to calling out Fox on their lies. Doesn't seem like they'd ever run out of material since Fox constantly hands it to them on a platter.
The irony is that Stewart's faux news show -- which airs on Comedy Central -- is far more factually accurate than anything being broadcast on FOX News.
Yeah, striking isn't it?
hannity didn't lie....he just didn't tell the truth....that smug look on his face says 'yea, we lied and got away with it because we can'...the real insult is to the sheep who watch his show and actually believe his lies
He's a blow hard. If you watch him you take him for what he is...a straw-man for the left.
a straw-man for the left.
What does that mean?
The Republic of Stupidity:
"a straw-man for the left" -
What does that mean?
Presenting or focusing on irrelevant topics in order to divert attention from the important or original issues at hand. Mostly employed by Politicians in order to win arguments.
nope, there's no straw there, he's a full-blooded liar with millions of sheep bleating to his every word...he needs to be called on it
I know what a strawman is. I see 'em hoisted up here all thetiem.
I just couldn't see what point Clint was making in this context...
a straw-man for the left.
-
What does that mean?
It means he is the scarecrow thus has no brain?!?
He admitted the "mistake" because he was caught red-handed, just like any common criminal does. How many other times has he misled the public without being called to account?
Do these people have any integrity? If I intentionally did something under-handed and got caught, I'd be so embarrassed I wouldn't show my face for days! They wouldn't have problems if they'd just be honest in the first place. They act like it's illegal to tell the truth!
GApeach-922415:
They wouldn't have problems if they'd just be honest in the first place..
No one on the Fox Network will know an 'honest truth' if it jumped up and bit them in the.. arrhhh! 'can't say it here.
The standards for Fox News are even lower than anyone thought. Even now, they are apologizing for a 'mistake' and not a transgression. Given the intelligence level of their viewers/sheep, the ratings will probably go up, proving once and for all that quantity does not equal quality.

Fox News will cover stories that the MSM won't cover. Of course, the Weekly World News also covers offbeat stories not reported in the MSM either.
wow hannity apologies....its the end of the world as we know it.
what's next beck stops crying? god help us all.
2012 is rapidly approaching. Not that I believe any of that hogwash... but maybe it is a time of the signs :)
So let me understand this. You complain when Hannity admits he made a mistake and apoligizes for it then file an FCC complaint after he did so. You also complain and call him a liar when you think he has made a mistake and doesn't apoligize.
What would you like him to do besides leave the airways. Apoligize for being a Conservative? Apoligize for not having your view point? What would be good enough in your eyes? What do you want him to do when he makes a mistake? Do you want him to apoligize or don't you? I'm very confused to your stance.
Here is one for you... Change the channel. Don't watch channels you don't like. I hate Olbermann thus I don't watch him and the few times I do see him it's to much. So I change the channel.
In life there are going to be times when you meet people that you are not going to agree with. What you going to do when that happens? You going to file an FCC complaint on everyone that hates Obama? What about if a waitress get's your order wrong? How about if someone just says, "I'm sorry I was mistaken?"
So what is the point of him listening to you if you already have it made up in your mind that no matter what he does it isn't good enough for you? If that is indeed the case then nothing good can result from you listening to him and him listening to you. All you are trying to do is force everyone who doesn't agree with you out of the business of entertainment. What you are doing is no different than the 1950's Black Listing of certain Movie Stars. Is that the new face of Liberalism? Is that what you want your Party to be known for? To be the Party that silences the opposition and forces everyone to watch what you deem is appropriate?
Maybe you might want to think on what you are promoting and how you are promoting it for a while. This is a moment of clarity... Are you a person that even though you may disagree with what a person says you'll die for their right to say it or are you the person that would kill free speech? The reason I ask this is because you are not the first Liberal wanting to limit free speech to just those that you agree with. In fact the number of Liberals who promote this line of thinking is startling and scary.
As you can see I am indeed a person that even though I may not like what you say I will defend your right to say it.
He has a right to say what he wants, but if he's broadcasting it as news, he has the professional responsibility to ensure it is accurate. If he can't do that, then he needs to be advertised for what he is.. a tabloid or opinion article writer.. more towards tabloid if he insists on parsing his opinions together with falsified data. If he hadn't done this more than once, I wouldn't complain. We all make mistakes, but tolerating repeated mistakes.. reaches a threshold at a certain point.
FOX is a professional news organization. It should know the dates of what it is pulling from its Archives.
Thank you Jason!
What would you like him to do besides leave the airways. Apoligize for being a Conservative? Apoligize for not having your view point? What would be good enough in your eyes?
I would like him to stop being a bigoted lying @!$%#.
He has a right to say what he wants, but if he's broadcasting it as news, he has the professional responsibility to ensure it is accurate
He is a commentator. When I've complained about commentators in my newspaper they tell me it's their opinion and they can put what they want in it.
I would like Hannity to quit lying. That's all.
Not just Hannity trm2008 but the entire Fox staff. Very few of them have only a shred of journalistic integrity and ALL make subjective (if not outright lies) about Obama, the left, Democrats, or anybody Roger Ailes/Rupert Murdoch wants to target.
All you are trying to do is force everyone who doesn't agree with you out of the business of entertainment.
Like the conspiracy theorists who claim that the U.S. never landed on the moon, I have always wondered if we would be able to find the truth if the government tried to present a false scenario to the public. Now we know that the government did just that in Viet Nam and Iraq. I never imagined that that anyone would prefer to have their news presented by a flimflam man. Apparently I was wrong. There is an entire demographic out there who prefer to have their news presented with a song and a dance, an emotional breakdown, and a big fat lie.
Sigh.
Even someone on the extreme right/left must realize there’s a difference between holding a belief and trying to sell that belief to the public by using false or misleading props… right?
Showing false footage isn't an 'opinion', Jason - it's a lie. Having opinions is fine. Blatant lying is not. I suggest you invest in a dictionary if you're still having trouble distinguishing between the two.
I think Shepard Smith is the only Fox commentator that has any integrity at all. Why he is so tied to that station, is beyond me. They must have something on him.
Shepard Smith displays much integrity. What's really odd ball is that he's so totally gay and he's on a right-wing conservative anti-gay network. Smith and Dobbs should trade places, at least CNN doesn't lean as far right as Pox News.
I think Shepard Smith is the only Fox commentator that has any integrity at all.
Very true. He's the only anchorman I have respect for in that hole they like to call a news station.
What's really odd ball is that he's so totally gay and he's on a right-wing conservative anti-gay network.
Is he?! I always thought of him being metro sexual. I thought Greta VanSustren was a lesbian for a long time until I found out she was married.
I don't watch him and probably never will...but I am glad Jon Stewart did. What he did was take two completely different tapes, edited them into one, and REPORTED them as actual footage of one specific event...all to deceive. I feel sorry for the poor employee Hannity just threw under the bus. Hannity just didn't lie, he manufactured it all to deceive. You don't report to FCC for opinion; you do for manufacturing news falsely.
So what is the point of him listening to you if you already have it made up in your mind that no matter what he does it isn't good enough for you? If that is indeed the case then nothing good can result from you listening to him and him listening to you.
This describes the attitude that the present GOP, their followers and Fox News has toward President Obama.
Annoying, ain't it?
Louie lou, Yeah, actions are deceptive. I thought Al Franken was gay, until I saw him interviewed on some show, a long time ago, and was pleasantly surprised, that he isn't. I didn't know Barney Frank was gay, until proven wrong. Just goes to show ya. :-O
Louie Lou, Shepard was outted on HBO's Documentary if I remember correctly along with a number of others including former NY Mayor Ed Koch and current Florida Gov Charlie Crist.
They keep Shep around so they can tout themselves as 'Fair and Balanced'. He should quit and go to a more newsworthy organization than Fox. Even Comedy Central or the Cartoon Network would qualify.
Ellen For Obama
Did you complain as enthusiastically when MSNBC showed tape of a black man holding a gun at a 'tea party' while the news reader announced that 'whites' were bringing weapons to the rallies?
I hadn't heard about that one and I just looked it up and no, I don't like that. However, in the CNN coverage, it was reported that the man (not fully depicted by MSNBC) was not the only person carrying a weapon; at least a dozen people brought weapons, almost all of whom were whtie. (It's Arizona and they're allowed to carry weapons there.) So while MSNBC was deceptive, they were not far off the mark.
Feel free to report that one, just as I reported Hannity's B/S. Make sure you know the date and time this was broadcast when you file.
I submit to you one difference: there IS an element of racism against Obama, and the Secret Service has never been as busy as they've been protecting this President. It is as true as the sky is blue. On the other hand, the teabagger rallies exaggerated by FOX are not as well-attended as they'd like us to believe, and most people are NOT against health care reform, as they'd also like us to believe.
By the way, this was not a teabagger rally. It was an event in FAVOR of health care reform. The man MSNBC partially displayed was against health care reform. (Facts! They're useful!)
If I'd seen this at the time, I would have complained directly to MSNBC. If I were to see a pattern of such behavior (as frequent as FOX's antics), I would also complain to the FCC. I tend to watch MSNBC more than other news networks, and though I understand they are the anti-FOX, I expect better from them and would prefer they stick to the truth, since reality really does favor my views, anyway. (By the way, I'm also not a fan of The Ed Show - way, way too Fox-like, albeit from a different viewpoint.)
Meanwhile, I guess you now understand how ridiculous it sounds to some of us when The Party of No continue to suggest that Obama is racist, don't ya?
Also, you know you're posting on an MSNBC site, right? And by doing so, you help make them money from banner ads. Just thought I'd let ya know.
If I were to see a pattern of such behavior (as frequent as FOX's antics), I would also complain to the FCC.
Here's a website for that. I think I'll start complaining.
Did you complain as enthusiastically when MSNBC showed tape of a black man holding a gun at a 'tea party' while the news reader announced that 'whites' were bringing weapons to the rallies?
I never heard that version of the story myself...there was video evidence of what actually took place. Everyone with a pair of working eyes could see the person focused on carrying the weapon was African American. Being allowed to carry weapons near the President when it's not in your line of duty is just ridiculous no matter what color the finger on the trigger. I'm not even curious to look for what really happened in the case you are talking about, because i'm quite sure it's a distortion of some sort.
The screen showed a man from the waist area down, with an automatic weapon strapped to his hip. The audio talked about racist whites bringing weapons to the rallies. Too bad the video was showing a black man. The viewer might not know that little tidbit, because MSNBC edited out the part of the video that showed parts of his body that would reveal his skin color.
Got it?
The viewer might not know that little tidbit, because MSNBC edited out the part of the video that showed parts of his body that would reveal his skin color.
Got it?
You do realize he wasn't the only attention-seeker carrying a gun...? In any case, I stand by my point about weapons near the President.
Dumb arse "faux" reproting will bite you in the behind every time!
Hannity got caught.
Again
He'll do it, again.
And again.
Why is that if I disagree with the politcs and positions of anybody of a different race, I am classified as racist. I will totally agree with most of the comments concerning Hannity, however, let's try to, just once, not play the race card. It's such a cop out. Also, while I don't know for sure so will give you that the majority of people want health care reform but exactly what is that majority? For example, if 51% want reform and 49% don't, we just ignore the 49% since they are not relevant!? Also, in the interest of accurate reporting, I have yet to hear anyone say that don't want reform; I just hear that they don't want Obama's reform. So, in closing, rhetoric and lies are not an exclusive domain of the conservatives, but is equally used by both sides. I have found that it's best to listen to both sides and then realize that actual truth is somewhere in the middle........
nhigh, racism can definitely be a cop out. But to deny that it hasn't been a huge factor in the last 250 years in this country is a cop out as well. To deny that it doesn't continue to be a factor and will continue to be a factor for generations to come is also a cop out. A flippant dismissal of racism as it pertains to Obama is truly a cop out.
If you simply disagree with his politics, which many do, that is a position to be respected. To oppose his election into office and policies he puts in place, legislation he pushes is also a position to be respected. If 51% want reform, that's a majority.
So that I am clear, when someone disagrees with Obama, how do you determine that it is based on his race, rather than his politics. If I do not make a reference to race in disagreeing with him, do you just assume that since I am conservative, I therefore must be lying? If so, that is certainly an interesting take on the politics of tolerance. Seriously though, your point is taken and I didn't mean to imply that race was never a factor; simply that it has become commonplace to use race as a means to quiet the oppposition. No one wants to be labeled as racist, so we avoid that label by simply becoming quiet. Race is a reality, for sure, but not the sole reason that people oppose Obama. Yes, 51% is a majority, but 49% is almost half and to say that their wishes should be totally ignored will most assuredly come back to haunt when the majorities in congress are reversed, which always happens at some point. I think it would be better to slow down and at least consider some of the objections of the healthcare plans being submitted and accommodate where possible. Of course we will just continue to argue the extremes on both sides and ignore the desires and needs of the middle because in the end, both sides care only about their personal agendas rather than truly serving the public. We have been without reasonable healthcare for how long now? Why the rush to get it through this year? Maybe the fear of the reversal of majorities comes into play?
The Republicans aren't listening to the ones that didn't vote for them. Both sides are representing their constituencies. Isn't that what elections are about?
nhigh:
The reason race is so involved is simply because the most vehement protesters of his policies use racist terms and make signs at the rallies. If they simply said "Obama is ruining the country" that means you disagree. If they hold up a sign of a witch doctor while doing it then it racism will automatically be involved. Add that to the fact that conservatives (especially the leaders) do not separate or denounce these actions by these nuts only lumps all conservatives into one big pot.
I'm liberal about some things, but I think granola eating tree huggers are just as crazy as birthers and tea partiers.
And the reasons the fringes get heard is simply because us normal people do not make ratings for news channels. There are plenty of normal people who would not go to town hall meetings simply because of the spectacle. We'll just ask our questions in a more moderate forum.
The reason healthcare is getting rushed is part politics and part timing. Republicans know that by delaying they have a shot at picking up more seats in Congress next year. They also know that if reform goes on the Dems watch they wont get credit . Add to that the splintering/purging of moderates and they realize they will be doomed forever.
The Dems know that healthcare is front of mind with the majority of Americans because 1.They might get laid off 2. Boomers are hitting the system 3. They are the majority now and have to take shots when they can...
An apology from Hannity is sort of like a burglar attempting to sell your stolen jewelry - to you!
FOX makes a regular habit of these "screw ups" aand "mistakes"...
Just wait...the next time some bible thumping, family values, "real American", Republican politician gets caught with his pants down around his ankles....FOX will broadcast his name with a (D) in front of it.....they've done this on a number of occasions in the past....
By now, most of us with functioning brains know that FOX tells these lies on purpose...once the lie is told, the truth really doesn't matter - their mission is accomplished!
The FCC needs to start fining these liars muti-miilions for every lie....that's the only way to stop these liars!
I am surprised that they even apologized... Since anybody who watches this moron would never think to fact check anything on their own. I used to call Fox an insult to its viewers, but then I just realized that the viewers don't care, so why should I....
Kind of like Bill O the other night with his remark that his view of things is right because he has the highest rated show. Are you friggin serious? You are right because you have higher ratings? And people still continue to watch with this kind of nut-job mentality? America is coming to an end... Its stupidity is leading the way!
Olberman/Maddow should be hysterical tonight.
The entire world should be hysterical... This is just obscene... The best part is it took a Comedy show to expose it. I don't mind Maddow, but Olbermann is just a left side O'Reilly with an Ivy League mentality instead of O'Reilly's white male god complex.
Bill O is nuts-o. What an irrational megalomaniac - and he keeps gettig worse.
Bill O is nuts-o. What an irrational megalomaniac - and he keeps gettig worse.
Compared to Beck and Hannity, Bill-o is more tolerable--- just by a tiny fraction, though!
Only in the sense that flatulence is more acceptable than festering fecal matter. They are both an assault on the olfactory nerves.
Yes, Hannity's sorry for a "mistake." Why is Fox News suddenly full of "mistakes"? Oh wait, they're LIES.
Well, that's 1 for...?
I must have missed Sean's "correction" for saying that Obama called health insurance execs "bad guys", or the fiasco that ensued when he invited Michael Moore to ream him a new one over Cuban hospital footage.
This "news network" deliberately and frequently lies outright, or twists "facts" to suit its own purposes (which currently focus on discrediting EVERYTHING the Obama administration does). The only thing they are "pure" in, is being charlatans.
FOX needs another network just for the purpose of apologizing for the lies and misinformation they purvey.
trm--One Fox network is too many. We don't need another.
Hannity Apologizes for "Mistake" - Admits Jon Stewart/Daily Show Was Right
I would love to see that happen From the media that Anita Dunn said she controlled...or just anybody from the left..really and the List includes President Jimmy Carter for calling Joe Wilson a racist, President Obama for the gates issue, for saying "The courts have not ruled out the use of racial preference in the future" cause I dont know anybody in their right mind who would interpret the Supreme Court that way.
Finally let us not forget the evil insurance companies...as you know leftist rhetoric for Government healthcare(Socalized Medicine:...see Websters Dictionary) includes the reference to the money grabbbing insurance companies to which one viner here posted that their profits were 300 percent.... So I would like an apology from The President , Biden, Pelosi or any other Leftist/socialist/ whatever type Democrat who supports the idea that you...Joe Citizen should pay to the tune of a trillion dollars plus for the insurance companies mistakes instead of going after insurance companies to pay for those who cant pay for health insurance ...and fine the or threaten jail for not paying! They should apologize for getting over on you...because you supported their ideals and now you have to pay for them, when tort reform and insurance comapnies could pay for this....and you wont ask why? ...you just get inline like agendabots and get played...tell me that isnt worthy of an apology.
Are you capable of comprehending the truth? It certainly appears that you aren't. So Anita Dunn said she controlled the media? False, obviously. Joe Wilson is not a racist? Who knows? Would he act so juvenile by screaming the lie that Obama was lying if Obama was not half black? Unlikely. In fact, if Republicans controlled the House and any Democrat committed the same outburst against a Republican President it wouldn't matter if the Democrat was speaking the truth; he'd be thrown out of the House of Representatives. And the Supreme Court has not completely ruled out the use of racial preferences...even though 4 orf the 9 justices on the court are extreme right-wing ideologues.
As for the insurance companies, the right-wing and right-leaning Democrats - along with the hyperactive wailing and screaming support of the lunatic right wing Republican Party - have done everything in their power to prevent health care reform but even with the 200 amendments to the bill by Republicans which were meant to kill it for all time, progressive Democrats have produced a bill which will result in a far better system than the one we have. When people actually realize that the public option is nothing more than a non-profit public-run insurance company offering lower rates for the same coverage, they'll demand that everyone have access to it. At that point, the insurance companies fall away and a single-payer system reaches critical mass...because insurance companies perform no useful service whatsoever to a universal health care system unless you define useful service as making a profit for doing nothing.
The health care system which the delusional refer to as "the best health care system in the world" costs twice as much as it does for our competitors and ranks 37th in the world in terms of medical outcomes. Hallelujah, what an accomplishment...and it was all done by our holy and sacred capitalist system. What could ever be better; especially since only 45,000 people a year die years too soon because company profits prevent their apparently unnecessary lives. (Death panels? I've got some death panels for you right there.)
BTW, that last paragraph in your post is the work of a mental patient. Try to write your own material from now on.
So Anita Dunn said she controlled the media? False...
so come the out pour of the agendabot in you...do you know how many times I have heard this rhetoric...denials ...nontruths falsities from the left and every where else...the bottom line is...and I know you wont get this....Before any Democratic Healthcare plan was completed Obama had already said they were spending a trillion to overhaul healthcare....again this being a cost to the American people... as you so well said "because insurance companies perform no useful service " yet they have taken our money and for that Obama and your other socialized medicine Democrats in D.C. propose that Joe Citizen pay for the wrong doings of the insurance corporation...If any body in the left had more of an IQ than 65 they would see an opportunity to accomplish reform with burdening the American citizen....and here is where the American citizen see whether the Democrats have the cajones to stand behind the healthcare reform bill.....by being the first to sign up for the plan....but they wont and the latest proposals include that you must be turned down by an insurance company and wait 6 months before the government option can be considered wow that there is ehat you call real reform...since insurance companies dont have to turn you down now...they can just quote you a higher rate and then the government has met it's requirements to provide healthcare...insurance companies make nmore...and the government does not have to do a darn thing ....good Job Democrats...now you know why they lost in Va. and NJ.
P.S. why didnt they just go with the Clinton plan of 93....or previous socialized medicine plans...they dont work...quit your whining about we never got healthcare!
You need to go back on your meds instead of embarrassing yourself like that. And, once again, Anita Dunn obviously did not say she controlled the media.
As for 'socialized medicine' not working, it's the only medical system model which has ever been proven to work, and it works beautifully all over the world in all but 3 countries - one of which has no health care system and no functioning government, one of which has a dysfunctional system like ours, and then there's the country in which insurance companies promise us that they'll raise their private health tax 35% over the next 4 years (although they aren't talking about their plan to raise the private health tax 79% if no health care reform is passed).
Here in the good 'ol robber baron U.S. of A., though, we have "the best health care in the world" which costs twice as much as anywhere else in the world and produces such great medical outcomes that we rank 37th in the world behind Slovenia and just ahead of Cuba.
But Martel she did say she was trying to control the media coming from the White House and though I don't agree with what Joe did... Obama was lying and he was lying to the entire United States. It's not the first time he's done so either. Doctors ripping out childrens throats all to make a buck... Doctors cutting off limbs when they didn't have to. Doctors ordering lab tests when they don't have to. Uhmm what Obama said wasn't just a lie it was dangerous. What if people really thought that what Obama was saying was the truth?
Still, none of that has to do with the topic but in all honesty... After all that Obama has said and done I don't see how anyone can still support him. He's made so many people scapegoats and provoked Class Warfare upon our own citizens that supporting him goes against the moral fabric of who we are.
You may say what you want about Hannity but Obama has said and done worse. Hannity isn't the leader of the strongest nation of the planet either. Obama though... Isn't he supposed to be the Leader and he isn't acting like it.
She said she was trying to control the message coming from the White House, just as every administration since George Washington has done. As for Joe the Liar, only the delusional would think that Obama was lying. In fact, Joe was lying because he knows that Obama was not lying.
What if people really thought Obama was telling the truth? They do think he was telling the truth. Some mental patients would disagree, but that will always be the case.
As for the evil doctors ripping out children's throats, cutting off arms and legs for no reason and, oh yeah, by the way, getting really monstrous by ordering lab tests when they may not be absolutely necessary even if it might save someone's life; yeah, doctors must be stopped! People's lives are at stake. When will we ever learn that wishing for the best works so much better than medical science...and costs just what any really crazy person insists on paying for a service - nothing.
I wonder how long it will take before the delusional loonies among us become so violently insane that even Fox in Wonderland will fail to meet their cravings. All I can say is that it's a good thing I'm well-armed and prepared for the necessary culling of the trailer trash. I'm going to need a lot more ammo, though. The zombies just keep on coming, no matter how much reality encroaches upon their fantasies.
My biggest hope is that moderates and progressives follow Stewart's lead and insure that they don't get complacent. The right-wing extremists are already crowing about their chances in 2010, and it would be a shame to see them regain any control of this country and ruin any progress we've only begun to make.
So the guy comes out on TV and admits to his mistake, as opposed to just ignoring it and sweeping it under the carpet like most other news stations, and you guys still nail him to the wall??? Where was Jon Stewart for the "accidental" Rush Limbaugh story on NBC? Where was he for the Dan Rather story? I think Jon is as funny as the next commedian, ut c;mon guys. Your hatred of Fox News and is dramatic success is overwhelming!!! Surely there is something more important out there for you to gripe about??
So the guy comes out on TV and admits to his mistake, as opposed to just ignoring it and sweeping it under the carpet like most other news stations, and you guys still nail him to the wall???
And when Obama apologized in a speech overseas Hannity called it an "apology tour" and nailed him to the wall! Your point??
Ever since that Tea party nonsense started they've been lying about the number of attendees, and now to have FOX themselves get caught fudging the numbers is too funny!!!
Now i'm waiting for Hannity to apologize for endorsing Carrie Prejean. What a joke Fox is!
Ahh, a reply from a blogger so biased he/she won't even admit when they make thier own mistakes. Keep calling the tea parties nonsense Obama-fan. That's why you lost NJ and VA's governorships. Hopefully you keep calling them nonsense all the way up to Nov. 2010.
Cob the Crazed
This is the second time in a month that Hannity has spliced video footage into a montage that was not what Hannity claimed it was.
Tell me Cob, how does one 'accidentally' splice month and half old footage into something that just occured????
Tell me Cob, how does one 'accidentally' splice month and half old footage into something that just occured????
Oooo, ooo, let me answer that one!
1) prior to going on the air you tell your production crew that we need Michelle Bachmann's rally to look really "kick ass"....
2) you remind your production crew that any "footage" they can come up with that blows away the perception that this event wasn't heavily attended - will be appreciated and their Christmas bonuses may depend on it....
3) right before you go on the air you re-confirm with the crew that they've - "knocked this one out of the park"....
There ya go....'accidentally' spliced!
Anyday now they'll be changing the name of that morning show from FOX n' Friends to ---- FOX n' Frauds!
That's why you lost NJ and VA's governorships. Hopefully you keep calling them nonsense all the way up to Nov. 2010.
I admit the Democratic governors in those states were bad, but whoohoo, Conservatives earned two governor seats while Democrats earned a senate seat. That's really an achievement. *rolleyes*
Now i'm waiting for Hannity to apologize for endorsing Carrie Prejean. What a joke Fox is!
What a joke Carrie Prejean is!
Did you see the interview with Hannity vs Larry King. She had the rehersed line " you are being inappropriate "
She takes of the Mic... but stays sitting there smiling at the camera.... what a loser!
COB,
That's why you lost NJ and VA's governorships. Hopefully you keep calling them nonsense all the way up to Nov. 2010.
remind me again. How many congressional votes do Governors get? Oh right!!! NONE!! It's pathetic that you and your fellow cons have to count small victories like this! LMAO!!
Bummer of Oregon, my fellow Oregonian, we won a representative seat, not a senate seat. But we'll take it! ;-) The pubs can keep their governorships. Unless there is a contested presidential election in those states (!) it doesn't affect democrats on the national stage anyway.
Good Point.....Lets remind everybody what Governors....when Theey are democrats they Keep minoritoies out of public schools with Whites( reference any state that has been controled by Democrats in the South) or they forget to push for ratificationof the 13th ammenedment (freeing slaves) Kentucky 1975, Mississippi: May 16 , 1996.....
So what are those Democrats going to do in 2009 with what congressional seats they have...Not vote for the D.C. Voucher program...keeping minorities out of private schools, Spend a trillion for healthcare with out a plan, pass legislation on a Health care bill because of evil insurance companies and then make joe citizen pay for it whilst the insurance companies pay nothing. We can go on and on Dithering in Afghanistan...so that it looks like Vietnam(controlling the battlefield from Washington and ignoring the Generals) cap and tax which will cost the American people over 4 trillion and about 200,000 jobs...So go ahead you agendabots...you would think that this would be a great time for you, as your party has the power, but you are still angry and we know why.....because you got the power and were stuck with Obama , Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Frank,Watters, Wasserman-Shultz, Boxer, Byrd, Feinstein,Clinton...and all of this cant get you the Governorship in a Democratically controlled states like New Jersey and Virginia.
he takes of the Mic... but stays sitting there smiling at the camera..
Her brain had used up its quota of activity for the hour.
Look, witchdoctor, I'm serious here. Go back on your meds. You've got a very serious problem.
Witchy, the democrats of which you speak are the Dixie-crats from the days before LBJ signed the Voting Rights Act into law. He made the comment, "Well, we just lost the South". Very true. Those with the same mindset are now rock-ribbed republicans.
Time to buy a history book.
